* About the size of a 5" smart phone but thicker
* Substantially heavier than an average smart phone
* Charges more slowly than the power it supplies
* Will not charge low-power-draw devices due to Auto-Off function
* Charging this device draws more power than some chargers can provide
* Does not come with an AC power adapter to charge itself so charging off USB is a very long process

The Anker Advantage: Join the 10 million+ powered by our leading technology ltra-High Capacity: Charges the iPad Air almost once, the Galaxy S5 two and a half times, the iPhone 5s four and a half times and other smartphones multiple times.

I bought this for use with my Nexus 4. It does this well with extra battery juice to spare. Now on the meat of the review. It comes with connector cables for android (micro USB) phones, iPhone adapter for charging and some other charger adapters. The device itself has two USB ports on the base with 4 LEDS on the face that signify roughly the amount of charge left remaining and a power button in the center between the LEDS. The two USB ports are labeled...one for android and one for iPhone. The ports are optimized for the charging specifications on the different phones. I have only tested it with an iPhone and my Nexus which when turned off was able to charge up in 30 - 45 minutes. Normal charging expect an hour to an hour and half depending on usage during the charging cycles. This will vary depending on size of battery in your phone and usage during charging.

This product does what it advertises, and does it VERY well. It comes with a nice mesh case which I carry it in constantly, and a nice little coiled USB cord with a few tips. While these aren't compatible with every device I own, I use it mainly to charge my phone, which is MicroUSB and included.

there are three USB ports on this battery. One is a MicroUSB port, used for charging the battery. The other two are standard USB ports. Those are labelled "Android" and "Apple", each tuned to those devices. Inside a standard (pre USB3) port, there are 5 "signals"; two power (the outer connections), two data (the inner connections), and ground (the shell of the port). Apple devices require a special voltage to be sent over the two data lines, which tell the Apple device to allow charging. Apple devices seem to be picky, and do not like the "Android" port. Your mileage may vary, depending on how old your Apple device is. Both ports will charge Android, but the port tuned to Androids charge Androids faster. Other devices usually charge on one or both, albeit at the standard USB rate of 500mA.

I have yet to find a device that charges via USB that will not work with this battery.

Even some devices that aren't USB, but are 5V, will charge. For example, I have a Remington electric razor, which comes with a barrel-tip plug rated at 5V 150mA. This charges with one of the included power tips just fine.

A pair of Nokia bluetooth headphones charges with 5V 300mA. It requires a USB-to-barrel cable (a smaller barrel than those tips included with the battery), which I purchased online, and it works just fine.

RAVPower portable charger 16750mAh Dual USB review

Not all charging ports are created equal. Standard ports only communicate effectively with particular devices, like Apple OR Android, often limiting their recharge rate. But with iSmart technology, each port intelligently identifies your device to speak its unique charging language. So plug in any brand or model and enjoy compatibility that doesn't limit your charging speed

RAVPower has made numerous powerbanks or external battery packs with each version improving upon the other.
One of the most important things about RAVPower is their reputation and reliability. Unfortunately, like the flash memory market, there are many manufacturers that flat out lie on the rated capacities on their devices. If it's too cheap to be true then it probably is a counterfeit. That's why it's essential that you buy from a trusted manufacturer. Here is a link detailing some unscrupulous counterfeits.

In terms of function, the device is very easy to use. Just plug into any AC adapter with at least 1.5 amps rating (if you want to charge at 100% speed, lower ratings are fine, but expect longer charging). A full charge using a 1.5 amp source takes about 7 hours. This can be significantly shortened if you device to use RAVPower's high draw charger or a AC adapter with higher amperage available. The device can charge itself and two devices at the same time (essentially acting as an outlet splitter). Be warned that this device will discharge from the two ports faster than it will charge itself. Even with charging itself and charging two tablets, the unit only got slightly warm. This is important since it means efficiency is high and there is not much energy wasted as heat.
Idle drain on prior versions have been minimal and I expect the same from this device. I once left the prior
version in my luggage for over a month and when I check it, it still had 100% charge left.

I wanted a large capacity power bank that could take care of myself and my wife's electronics on trips. This consists of 2 Android Phones (LG G2, 3000mAh) and 2 Android Tablets (LG G Pad 8.3 4600mAh). That's a 15,200 mAh need.

Whether it's at a red light, in line at the DMV or while waiting for the movie to start, we all use our phones and tablets while killing time. But that's usually just a few minutes. Nothing holds a candle to waiting at the airport, especially now with security as tight as it is. But the worst part is trying to find an open power receptacle to plug in your charger - and if you you're stuck sitting on the floor or very close to someone you don't know (or worse with B.O.).

I laugh at those people now. My wife and I can sit in whatever seat we want and charge ALL our devices without worry. Plus we can watch all our movies on the plane w/out worry. Seriously, this beast handles it all. Here's a breakdown of how many times I can charge my devices from 0-100%:
2 phone charges and 2 tablet charges (and some left over for a bluetooth speaker)
5 Phone charges
3 Tablet and 1 (almost) phone charge
2 Phone charges, 1 tablet charge, 2 bluetooth speakers

There are two charging ports, a 2.4A and a 2.1A ports and the unit uses smart charging technology that senses the requirements of the device being charged and will automatically shut off once the device has been fully charged and thats such a great feature and missing on other portable chargers.the unit has a number of LED lights (blue) on top of unit that with a press of power button located on top also will indicate by number of LED'S lit up what percentage the unit has left for use. 4 LED = 75-100% 3 =50-75% 2= 25-50% 1= levels less than 25% and another great feature is the unit has a white LED by the 2 charging ports the activates a "flashlight" with a long press of the power button, really a great feature. with unit fully charged i was able to charge my Galaxy S5 from 5% to full 5x with enough power left to charge my galaxyS4 10%! you get a estimated 500 recharges of the unit so thats alot and should last at least 2-5 years with moderate use.im very impressed with this unit in so many ways but the price is just the best part, well done Ravpower.

portable battery charger Jackery 6000mAh discount 78%

I test all battery chargers "small-big", and for all brands, finally i found Jackery portable battery 6000mAh the best, but why the best? now we know that

Jackery portable battery charger you can charge all devices like iPhone 6s, 6s Plus, 6 Plus, 5, iPad , Air, iPad Pro, Samsung Galaxy S6, S5 & Other Smart Devices, Power Bank

My main reason for buying this Jackery Bar 6000mAh Portable Power Bank is because it advertises '2.1A Output'. I already own several Power Bank units in the 5000-5600mAh range, but none of them is powerful enough to satisfy my Barnes & Noble NOOK HD+ Tablet which demands 2A of charging current (if it cannot get 2A, it falls back to 0.5A instead). This Jackery power bank unit, however, is able to charge the Nook HD+ at full speed without any problems.

I tested the battery capacity of this power bank unit, by connecting a 5-ohm power resistor to its USB port. The unit is able to produce a well-regulated 4.92V at 0.95A (output power=4.67W) for 254 minutes. The total output energy is therefore 19.8Wh, which is consistent with the '5600mAh' capacity rating (3.7V * 5.6Ah = 20.7Wh, minus power conversion loss). In contrast, my other two '5600mAh' power bank units did not perform as well:
- The EC Tech unit delivered total energy of 17.8Wh (10% lower)
- The PowerBot unit delivered 15.0Wh (24% lower)
See the "Output Power vs. Runtime" chart I uploaded in Customer Images section for details.

I've had several battery packs, since smartphone batteries tend to drain rather quickly, and this is by far the best of them. I've used this while traveling to make sure that I always have access to my phone.

There are a few points that make this stand out.

1-Fast charging - Nearly as fast as plugging the phone into a wall socket and way faster than plugging it into a computer.
2-Lots of juice - I got at least three full charges for my iPhone 5 before I had to recharge
3-Device agnostic - It's just a generic USB plug, this will work with any device as long as you have the cord. This is handy while traveling because I might need to charge my iPad or my iPhone (which annoyingly have different plugs at the moment...)

The Jackery is about the same size and weight as an old iPod mini. It's not minuscule, but it's not large. And it's definitely not heavy. Given it's function as a back-up, auxiliary battery, it fits nicely into your travel bag, where you can forget about it until you need it. And you can leave it there for a long time, because it holds an incredible amount of backup power.
